Posting Bonds

There are two types of bonds:

  1. Cash – Only cash or a Cashier’s check will be accepted.
  2. Surety – Surety bonds are obtained through an independent bonding agency.  Please consult your business listings and contact a bonding agency directly for assistance.

The process for posting either a cash or surety bond depends on whether or not the defendant is currently in or out of jail.

In Jail
The Clerk’s Office accepts bonds Monday-Friday from 8:00am until 4:00pm.  At all other times bonds are accepted at the Spokane County Jail.

Out of Jail
The Clerk’s Office accepts bonds Monday-Friday from 8:00am until 5:00pm.  The defendant must be present at the time bond is posted.
